Education II

Hey there. For Monday's class I'd like you guys to take a look at the Issues textbook, read the 2 articles in the education chapter and I'd suggest doing the exercises and learning the vocabulary. The latter two are only suggestions that will help you with the exam and your writing. However, I'd like you to also read this article about Finland's education system: http://www.theatlantic.com/national/archive/2011/12/what-americans-keep-ignoring-about-finlands-school-success/250564/

They didn't perform as well as normal in this year's PISA. If you don't know what that is you could take a quick look at this - http://www.washingtonpost.com/local/education/us-students-lag-around-average-on-international-science-math-and-reading-test/2013/12/02/2e510f26-5b92-11e3-a49b-90a0e156254b_story.html
